Welcome to Neighborhood Admins Resiliency Network!
My name is Michelle Efendi and I am the founder of this organization which was created exclusively for the Admins of locally based Facebook Groups.
We are a special organization because we provide support to Admins who have primarily local Group membership. For example, the members of your Group could be police officers in Town, they could be your kids’ teachers or the Neighbors that live in the same building as you. For that reason, it takes a different type of approach to manage Groups like these and we really feel having expert advice specific to us is really critical for the situations that we face day to day as Admins.
Its our mission to empower Neighborhood Admins through collaborate training, information exchange, logistical and emotional support. If you haven’t already, please take a look at our Units section. There we have dozens of resources – dozens and dozens of resources, pictures, folders, files, lots and lots of stuff which may help you mange your Group.
I understand you have probably been a Neighborhood Admin for years, I know you can do this but my question is, why should you have to do it alone? Part of the reason why I created this Group was because I needed to have support from people that were able to empathize with me. I mean, I love my husband, I love my sister, I love my mom but they just didn’t know what it was like to be in this type of leadership role. We are really in this gray area of having these virtual communities but at the same time they are our real Neighbors. So we have incredible impacts but the burnout we could suffer from, the compassion fatigue, its just really important for us to be able to collaborate in a way that we can uniquely.
I am hoping we can get to know each other more. I really appreciate you being here. I want to be there for you as much as I hope that you can be there for me. I know it is really cliche to say, but we are stronger together. So thank you for taking part. I look forward to getting to know you more and please reach out to me if you need anything!
